Hatchlings London is happy to announce the first fully certified LEGO®-based therapy one-day training course and it’s coming to London!
Who it’s for
This course is for professionals who work with children and adults on the autistic spectrum and/or those who have social communication difficulties. Training is open to teachers, classroom assistants, play therapists, social workers, speech and language therapists, etc.
Behind Lego®-based Therapy
Research has shown that Lego®-based Therapy promotes social competence in children with autism and related conditions. It has also been used with children with social communication needs, mental health difficulties, and to boost confidence and self-esteem. It is a play-based intervention and can be used with children as young as 4 through to adult age!
About the Trainers
Erin and Jessica are Early Intervention Consultants who specialise in early childhood development and behaviour. They are the first in the UK to be fully licensed trainers in the framework introduced by Daniel LeGoff and Gina Gomez de la Cuesta. This 1-day course certifies YOU in Lego®-based therapy.
About the Training
This workshop will provide explanations of the trainers own experience of Lego®-based Therapy, the theory, principles and research underpinning Lego®-based Therapy and a full guide on how to plan, prepare, set up and run Lego®-based Therapy sessions as a facilitator.
You will also be given a training booklet on the day and after completion, you will be given a free login to the Bricks for Autism website to access many other online resources and forums to help to run the intervention in your own school or setting.
