Beam ABA Services helps to improve the lives of children, young people and adults with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other related conditions using the science-based practice of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
We believe that no individual should miss the opportunity to receive a treatment with proven rates of success, which is why our ABA programmes are costed per hour and tailored to each individual and their unique support system.
We currently provide collaborative and multidisciplinary ABA programmes across Greater London and the South West, with further locations rolling out as we speak.
ABA therapy – a person-centred approach
ABA seeks to understand and improve behaviour with the core focus on function-based intervention, that is, identifying the functions of behaviour.
ABA programmes focus on understanding why the behaviour occurs, rather than only on what the behaviour is. By identifying the “why”, ABA tutors then implement proactive, antecedent-based strategies that teach individuals socially significant skills, generalised across people, settings and time.
As each individual is unique, ABA programmes are tailored and applied to all age groups and behavioural conditions.
Beam ABA programmes
Our fully qualified team work closely with families, schools and the community to bring about meaningful and purposeful change in behaviour, enhancing an individual’s experience of the world. The team work with all age groups, spanning across early intervention, school years, university years and transition years.
Beam ABA programmes are unique, being outcome-focused, evidenced-based and data-driven, with an emphasis on achieving socially significant change, and are priced at a total cost per hour rate.
From accepting referrals through to programme implementation and beyond, we take all the necessary steps to ensure we are ambitious in our goals and expectations.
Each individual we work with is unique, which is why all our programmes are individualised. From assessment through to delivery, we ensure each individual has a programme tailored to their unique needs, with full oversight by a fully qualified supervisor.
Our clinical team
Our clinical supervisors are fully involved with the assessment process and programme delivery, and work closely with families, schools and other involved parties.
We require all ABA supervisors to be qualified Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA) and/or hold an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
Our Behaviour Support Therapists (BSTs) receive full induction training and we are early adopters of the BCAB Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) credential.
Quality assurance
Beam is regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and you can read our most recent CQC inspection report here.
