Liam is four years old and he needs a new adoptive family to love, care and support him throughout his childhood. He has a cheeky character, and is curious and affectionate. His autism diagnosis means he needs parents who are consistent and understanding. Read more about Liam here.
Adopt London North is looking for a single parent or a couple to care for Liam. His new parent(s) will need patience and love, and whilst knowledge of Autism would be beneficial, it is not a necessity. If you have a commitment to understand his world and to seek training and support from professionals and other parents, we’d like to hear from you.
Children who need adoption, like Liam, have often had a tough start in life. As his parent(s) you will support him to understand his early life experiences and help promote his identity and self-confidence. Liam has made progress with his foster carers, and his new family will continue that progress with supportive parenting.
Adoption can be hugely rewarding – it can also have its challenges. You will need to be Liam’s best supporter and advocate to get the support he needs for his health and education.
If you live in the UK and you’d like to know more about adoption and Liam, please contact Veronica, Liam’s Family Finding social worker, on 020 7527 4404 or veronica.jolley@islington.gov.uk
