The UK Government’s commitment to creating an additional 10,000 SEND places is backed by a significant £740 million investment.
The majority of UK-wide demand growth is from students on the autism spectrum. The emphasis, rightly placed, is on providing these places locally, ensuring children receive the support they need within their communities, minimising disruptive travel, and fostering inclusion.
This is where TG Escapes’ bespoke Inclusive Learning Hubs can play a pivotal role.
Primary and secondary settings
TG Escapes, through original end-user research and in collaboration with Haverstock Architects and The Blue Iris Partnership, have designed Inclusive Learning Hubs using their modular timber frame system.
This collaboration has informed the development of pre-designed, DfE Spec 21-compliant solutions for primary and secondary settings.
Choice of spaces for learning and sensory comfort
Each biophilic hub is organised around a central activity area, with classrooms designed to offer young people a choice of spaces, both inside and outside, where they can retreat to optimise their learning and sensory comfort.
This element of choice allows students to find environments that best meet their needs, fostering emotional regulation and creating a supportive atmosphere.
Free bespoke designs
Additionally, the options of therapy, sensory, and meeting spaces provide multi-disciplinary teams with a high-quality environment where they can effectively collaborate and support their work with children.
Every school setting is unique, so TG Escapes’ experienced team will provide free bespoke designs tailored to your specific requirements, including a variety of spaces to support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, MSI, and SEMH.
A hub in just 30 weeks
A net-zero, 32-place hub, including secure outdoor spaces, can be completed in as little as 30 weeks onsite at a one-off cost of approximately £74k per student.
